The suspense and story twist revealed in this Wonder Woman 1984 Trailer leaves the audience drooling for more. With the reunion of Steve Trevor and Diana in the very beginning, the multiple features of Kristen Wiig’s Barbara Minerva as Cheetah, and the very traditional yet much-loved villain Maxwell Lord, the story is pretty much what the fans wanted from Wonder Woman movies since the very beginning.

As the name suggests, Wonder Woman 1984 is set in the olden era and DC and Warner Bros. have made sure to include all the period-approved items in their trailer for all those science fiction nerds out there who like to break down every single detail to the basic core of ideas.

The most period-approved item appearance is the silver Casio watch that was left with Diana by Steve, and the DC and Warner Bros. logos both highlighted in the neon lights popular in the 1980s. The trailer opens with that theme and gives off the vibe that the eagerly awaited love story will bear fruit in the movie.

Since the trailer first aired, the Wonder Woman armor that is featured in the movie is creating much buzz among the fans and critics. Wonder Woman 1984 features the Golden Eagle costume from the earlier comics and the first Wonder Woman movie that aired. In some scenes, Princess Diana shows how her tiara/headband is actually functional in combat and the gold costume reveals an extra feature – GOLD WINGS!! With this, the new Wonder Woman (or rather the older one) is equipped to fly as well, just like in the comics.

In addition to the armour, the hidden island of Themiscyra provides us several glimpses. In flashbacks of Princess Diana’s childhood, the Amazon games/ trials taking place and even hints of how the island changed in the following years after Antiope’s death. Another feature in the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer is the amazingly badass and modern version of the period-appropriate song “Blue Monday” by New Order, released in 1983.

The final verdict for the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer is that it provides a lot of insight into what this movie will highlight and still leaves you wanting more. Suffice it to say, the movie’s expectations have been increased ten-fold after the release of this second trailer, and fans are eagerly waiting for Wonder Woman 1984 to hit the theaters on October 2, 2020.

DC Comics is set to release a new Wonder Woman movie, starring Gal Gadot, the strong female lead that we have all come to associate with the Wonder Woman of the modern world. The second trailer for the movie was unveiled at the DC FanDome by the movie stars and co-stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal along with the Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins.
